Session Notes/Slides
This course is taken from a season Pastor from the ."Grace Church of the Valley."
1. Baptism Represents Death and New Life
It symbolizes dying to sin and rising to new life in Christ (Romans 6:3-4). The believer publicly identifies with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.
2. Baptism Is an Act of Obedience
Jesus commanded it (Matthew 28:19-20). It’s not optional or merely symbolic—it’s a step of obedience following genuine repentance and faith.
3. Baptism Declares Faith Publicly
It’s a visible testimony before others that a person has accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. It marks entry into the community of believers.
4. Baptism Does Not Save by Itself
Salvation comes through faith in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). Baptism is the outward sign of an inward grace—a demonstration of salvation, not its cause.
5. Baptism Begins a Life of Discipleship
It’s not the end but the beginning of walking with God—learning, serving, and growing in the Spirit through the church and daily devotion.
